ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT(EA) EXPERTISE DATABASE FOR EASTERN AFRICA

Establishment of the database is among the important activities of the Eastern Africa Association for Impact Assessment (EAAIA). This database forms a source of information; a mechanism for exchange and sharing of knowledge, information and experience on environmental assessment (EA) policies and practices, and support maximization of the use of available resources in the region. The database also provides mechanisms for short and long term reports generation of EA experts, for the authorized members and the public. Other sections include Countries’ EA Policies, EA laws, regulations and guidelines; EA institutions; EA documents;, Links and collaboration.

Objective: To enable the Eastern Africa region to establish a well-managed database that will be: - A source of EA information, - A mechanism for exchange and sharing of knowledge, information and experience on EA policies and practice; support maximization on the use of available resources in the region.
