Support efforts aiming at establishing operational and legally constituted EA systems and Institutional frameworks;
Support development of adequate human and technical resources and institutional capacity for EA undertaking in Eastern Africa ;
Support and encourage communities, various organizations including the private sector to fully participate in EA;
Promote information gathering, sharing and exchange on EA through encouraging research and establishment of regional networks of EA experts, practitioners, coordinators and development partners in Eastern Africa ;
Promote and support preparations and participation of EA experts from Eastern Africa in regional, sub regional and international EA forums and networks;
Promote cooperation with Associations, Organizations and Government Agencies with similar objectives to maximize benefits through experience and information sharing, exchange of resource persons and develop appropriate linkages for environmental management and improvement of socio-economic welfare of the region;
Organize National and International Workshops, Seminars, Symposia and Conferences on EA issues in the region in collaboration with national and international agencies; and
Establish appropriate funding mechanisms for establishment and strengthening of EA systems.
